The attendees of the annual conference are comprised of an exclusive group of experienced advisors chosen from around the country who have been meeting annually for over 25 years. The conference agenda included accomplished high level professional industry speakers about capital markets, credit markets, global economics, risk management, portfolio construction, financial planning and practice management.
The goal and purpose of the presentations and study groups is to study market trends, learn strategies to avoid risks, and meet with industry leaders to learn policy, geopolitical issues, tax, and investment trends. Dobbins says, “APSG is one of the most in depth, collaborative and content driven conferences I attend. It brings tremendous value and insight every year. The sharing among advisors and high level speakers is unique to APSG.”
It is considered an honor to be included and invited to this Advanced Planner’s Study Group in Aspen, Colorado, and sponsored by various industry providers. The group participants met with expert consultants to discuss current political and economic climates. This year’s presentation topics included “Capital Market Outlook: Portfolio Implications for 2015”, “Looking under the Hood in Liquid Alternatives: The Mechanics of Underlying Strategy Exposures”, and “The Credit Markets Have Evolved: Has Your Asset Allocation Kept Track?” Provocative topics foster creative discussions and study groups that allow participants to better serve their financial planning clients.
